B.ob’s actually. Short for Black Obsidian, we named our founding Stallion after a symbol of strength, protection, and inner peace. Black Obsidian, aka “Bobby” has inspired an entire farm full of peace, growth, and unwavering passion for these animals and opportunities. It was only appropriate that we put his name on… everything.

You may be wondering what a volcanic glass has to do with horses. Black obsidian symbolizes many of the qualities that we observe and continue to strive for at BOS.

Grace operates this Stable with a love and passion for horses that has been cultivated for 25 years, as head trainer and founder of B.O.S.

Grace brings an extremely versatile background to her programs and holds the relationship between horse and rider as upmost priority. With a competitive background in eventing, hunters, jumpers, driving, ranch riding, obstacle, and trail, Grace prides herself in operating a stable that fosters a love for horses, and the craft of horsemanship above all.

Grace’s resume includes working horses for organizations including Disney and University of Central Florida, in addition to her competitive experience.

Beyond her expertise in the saddle, Grace holds a degree in hospitality management, equipping her with the attention to detail required to tailor every experience to the individual. Her passion for horses has never faded, and she takes pride in sharing their magic with others, whether it’s guiding a beginner’s first steps or helping an experienced rider reach new heights.

Meet the horses

At Black Obsidian Stables, our horses aren’t just lesson partners, they’re the heart of everything we do. Our rare Fell Ponies are a breed known for its versatility, charm, and kind nature.

B.Ob (Dreamhayven Viscount) was the first to arrive and is the namesake of our stable. “Bobby” is enjoying growing up, learning his job, and is such a wonderful representation of Fell Ponies and our Stable.

Harry (Garrighyll Harry Brown) and Patriot (Garrighyll Hal) are half-brothers and the seasoned veterans of the barn. Joining us from Iowa, these boys bring confidence and reliability to everyone. Whether it’s riding, driving, or just enjoying time together, these two love sharing their talents with riders of all ages.

Star (Starship Advantage) joined us in 2025. She has flourished into an outstanding athlete, working towards a bright career in eventing or jumpers. Star is such a cherished part of the herd and has one of the sweetest dispositions in the Stable.

Valentino comes to us after guiding trails at Disney World for nearly 15 years. Grace and Valentino worked together almost 10 years ago, and now we are thrilled to have Valentino join us at home for lots of fun and relaxation.
